Use the Flow XO MCP server

Connect an MCP client to Flow XO to inspect your workspace and work on agents and workflows.

Claude Code

Run this in the folder where you want to use Flow XO:

claude mcp add --scope project --transport http flowxo https://agent.flowxo.com/api/mcp/agency/build

This writes the server to the folder’s .mcp.json. Open Claude Code, enter /mcp, select flowxo and follow its sign-in flow. See Claude Code’s MCP guide for other configuration scopes.

Cursor

Add this entry to .cursor/mcp.json in your project. Keep any existing servers:

Open Cursor’s MCP settings and authenticate the server. Cursor supports OAuth for remote servers. See Cursor’s MCP guide.

Other clients

Choose a remote HTTP server and use https://agent.flowxo.com/api/mcp/agency/build as its URL. The client must support OAuth for remote MCP servers. In VS Code, start with MCP: Add Server in the Command Palette. See VS Code’s MCP setup.

After signing in, ask the client to list your projects. Check that the returned projects belong to the workspace you approved. A saved server URL alone doesn’t mean authentication has finished.

Choose a tool set

The Flow XO integration card has a What will this agent do? selector. It offers Build agents, Operate workspace, Browse only and Everything.

The endpoint paths below select tool groups. Access also depends on the permissions approved when signing in and your workspace role.

Permissions

Signing in opens Authorize access. Choose the Workspace and read Requested permissions before choosing Allow access. Choose Cancel to leave access unapproved.

The permissions can include reading and writing agents and workflows, executing workflows, managing workspace settings and credentials, reading credentials, reading and writing contacts, and reading observability data. Review the actual request before approving it.

Tool reference

This list comes from the public MCP tool registry. Your client can show fewer tools because of its endpoint, permissions or the tools enabled on that Flow XO environment.
