Use Blueprint variables
Open Blueprint → Variables to declare values your agent uses at runtime. Give each value a Variable key, a type and a Description.
Use a default
Section titled “Use a default”Set Default value for a value the agent can use when no other value is supplied. For example, set business_name to Maple Tea.
In Agent Identity → System Instructions, refer to it with Liquid:
You are the automated assistant for {{ variables.business_name }}.After the draft saves, reset the Test Console and ask which business the agent represents. Check that it uses the configured name.
The editor checks declared Blueprint variable references. An unknown reference needs a matching declaration or a correction. Contact, channel and secret references resolve when the agent runs.
Require a value
Section titled “Require a value”Turn on Required when a caller must supply the value. Adding a default turns Required off and disables the switch.
Keep descriptions concrete. Explain what the value means, rather than repeating its key.
Remove an unused variable
Section titled “Remove an unused variable”The editor marks declarations with no Blueprint references as Unused and offers a remove button. Remove a reference from the instructions before removing a variable that is still in use.
Blueprint variables are separate from the values kept inside a workflow.
